Private Lessons
Our home studio offers a nurturing environment in which to take private lessons in piano and cello. We are located off Spring Cypress Road between Eldridge and Grant. In their lessons, students will learn about technique, theory, musical time periods, and composers, as well as improve on their chosen instrument. Lesson plans are individualized to meet the goals of the student. Teachers are trained in both Suzuki and traditional methods of teaching.

Teachers are Suzuki Trained and Registered
Our teachers have taken both cello and piano teacher training from the Suzuki Association of the Americas and have registered this training with the SAA. They are members of SAA, Houston Area Suzuki Strings Association, and Houston Area Piano Suzuki Association.
Dr. Shinichi Suzuki, a violinist, educator, philosopher, and humanitarian, believed as we do that "every child can learn." He spent many years developing a method of teaching music in a way that not only develops professional musicians but nurtures loving human beings and helps develop each student's character. Suzuki based his approach on the belief that "Musical ability is not an inborn talent but an ability which can be developed. Any child who is properly trained can develop musical ability, just as all children develop the ability to speak their mother tongue. The potential of every child is unlimited."
Some of the special things about the Suzuki approach are the involvement of parents, loving encouragement, repetition of repertoire. Also, the student learns technique through beautiful music in the form of graded repertoire as opposed to tiresome technical exercises. In the Suzuki method, the student learns to establish a good tone, practice habits, repertoire, and a love of their instrument before beginning the task of reading music, just as children learn to talk before they learn to read.
